Meditation and other forms of mindfulness are too often co-opted into productivity tools, instead of the means for transforming our perception. The imaginative power needed to change our world requires a disruption of the mental status quo, and meditation can aid in this revolution of the mind.

It is important however, that expanding the mind is as much journey outward as it is inward. Dissolve the barriers between the self and others, recognize yourself in your neighbors or in the leaves of a tree. A collective rebellion of the mind can precipitate boundless compassion, allowing for the actions needed to surpass the past and transform the future.
